All Buggy

Okay, my sister just did one of those question and answer "tagged" survey things...whatever they are called. I think I'm bored for the moment, so I'll give it a try. Ten things that BUG me:

1. My little sister pointing out grammatical errors. :-) (Not that she gets the opportunity very often!)

2. Having my feet wrapped too tight in blankets. They are always freezing and have to have ten pounds of blankets on to get warm, but they CAN'T be tucked in or it drives me crazy!

3. Being tickled. For some reason it is like torture...maybe from all the tickle-torture my brothers performed when I was little. :-)

4. People in classes who think they are smarter than the teacher. C'mon, if you were, you wouldn't be in this class!!

5. Women who show up at Lowe's or Home Depot looking like runway models. Isn't the art of the grubs sacred anywhere??

6. People who can't talk about anything but themselves. Seriously, they need to branch out a bit.

7. My kids interrupting my conversations. Sorry Mom and Dad! :-)

8. Plain old economics...why does carpet have to be so expensive??

9. People talking during a lecture or lesson. Take it outside folks, some of us are here to learn!

10. No parking at ISU. Why did I buy a permit if there is nowhere to use it?

Okay, this is tougher than it looks. I'm gonna tag Kelsi (if she ever sees this!), Traci, and Jennifer. Good luck girls!

Bowling Day!

Our ward Elder's Quorum had a bowling party last Sunday. Since Brett is 2nd counselor, we decided to go "support the cause" even though I really suck bowling and end up hating it by the time I'm done! :-) But this was a family party, and it was the first time our kids have ever gone bowling. They LOVED it! Aedan especially had fun, and wanted to bowl the entire time.

We set up one lane solely for the kids so the adults could just bowl. They went crazy. They had this big metal ramp that the kids could use to bowl...the ball sits on top, and the kids push it down the ramp. It goes straight down the middle of the lane and ends up giving the kids pretty good scores. I really wanted to use the ramp myself! In fact, Aedan outbowled the whole family with a whoppin' 122 (yes, we really are that pathetic at bowling!) All in all, it was a fun time, and the kids had a blast with their friends.

Kylee

Kylee is so goofy sometimes. She has one of those baby doll strollers that "supposed" to be for the doll, but she and Aedan fight over who gets to sit in it. The other day I came into the living room at her request, "Mommy, look at this!", and found her strapped into the stroller. She was walking her way to the couch. When she reached it, she would put her feet on the couch and push, making the stroller go backwards across the living room. Then she would walk her way back to the couch to do it all over again. She was so proud of herself, it gave her the giggles! Here are some pics of the moment:

I'm a Junkie

Okay, it's official...I'm a Twilight Junkie! :-) I just watched the movie with Mom & Amy, and holy crap it was tons better than I expected!! I think I need to read the books all over again. Any by the way, I'll never be able to look at "Cedric Diggory" the same again!

Goodbye Snow

I'm so sad all our snow is melting! We had the best series of snowstorms this month...It reminded me of when I was little and we used to have to dig ourselves out of the house! Check out these crazy pics of the snow coming off our roof a couple days after Christmas:

If you look at the chunk of snow/ice at the far end, you can see the ice cicles curving toward the window. It looked like it was gonna take out the house when it fell!

Now the snow is melting into stupid, nasty slush, lots of icky mud, and slicker-than-snot ice that just makes winter unbearable. All I have to say is: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! :-)
